Biography

I began my career over four decades ago teaching mathematics and quantitative subjects at the university level. Later, I spent 20+ years building data-intensive and regulatory-sensitive systems across several of Canada’s largest banks. The through-line—whether in classrooms or capital markets—has been the same: reduce complexity to first principles, then rebuild with clear, verifiable steps.

At SecuritiesExamsMastery.ca, I apply that approach to Canadian exam preparation—translating rules, product mechanics, and ethics into plain language, visual summaries, and targeted drills that mirror official blueprints (CSC®, CPH®, LLQP).

Experience Highlights (Canada)

  • 23 years in banking/fintech: core platforms, risk, data & reporting.
  • Capital-markets adjacent work: market data, pricing, and controls.
  • Data platforms & search relevance; contributions in the Solr/Lucene ecosystem.
  • Curriculum mapping to Canadian oversight (CIRO/CSA/provincial regulators).

Teaching Philosophy

  • First principles: understand mechanisms before mnemonics.
  • Blueprint-aligned: objectives mapped to Canadian exam domains.
  • Scenario-driven: vignettes and PBQ-style walkthroughs.
